grey? My little English make looks to have grey center tail feathers. Would lacewing cover up grey in my lacewing male (the dad)?

Yes it should mask grey :) Sometimes they will have suffusion and you can see a bit of color coming through though like Bridgett mentioned, but the dad could be just about anything so you probably have a cute little grey there! :)

Grey is often used deliberately as a base for lacewings and albinos because it usually shows less suffusion than blue
