No-flash pics are needed to id colors, ie, sex of cere, body color, etc. Not necessary to id color patterns, ie, types of pieds, spangle, etc.

I would call him a dominant pied. However, it can be hard to differentiate between a clear flight pied and a poorly marked dominant pied if you don't know the bird's heritage. I had a dominant pied baby who only had clear flights - no other clear spots on him - but I knew his dad was a dominant pied and his mom a normal, so he was a dominant pied, just poorly marked.

Your birds appear to be dominant pied. Many dominant pieds do not have a full clear band across the front.

I'm going to say dominant pied too, though he could be clearflight, and Spotty could be either a DF dominant pied or a recessive pied.
