Cupid came from a bin o budgies last year but i just fell in love with her earthy color. never could quite pin her color down. Now every time I step into the budgie flight she flies out and goes over to harass the 3 pairs that are set up for breeding. She desperately wants to go to nest but I like her personality as is. In case I decide to set her up would like to choose a compatible boy and for that I need her color.
My guess is gray-green opaline although sometimes the green looks blue. Any ideas?

I think the first one is a female opaline mauve yellow face type 1,and the second is a mauve dominant pie yellow face type 1,but i think he is too young to see male or female?they are very beautiful, and they will make beautiful chicks.good luck

actually both are pictures of Cupid. She is definitely female. I never considered mauve as a possible color for her though, but I do see it on her.
I really just enjoy her personality and color. She is one of my more sassy girls who will wait until my back is turned to fly out of the open flight. She also loves it when me and one of the other budgies is enjoying some love time and she will climb all over my back.
Mauve, very interesting concept, Thank you

She is a yellow face opaline mauve. The purple cheek patches show that she is mauve not grey.
