Hi could you please help in telling me what colours and mutations itchy and scratchy fall into

I know the pics are not the best as they do not sit still for more than a few seconds

But please do your best and tell me what else you would need to see to help

Scratchy is the gray girl and itchy is the yellow boy

Itchy is an opaline greywing grey – probably with no dark factors

Scratchy is a Type 2 yellow face dominant pied. (He has less markings than most dominant pieds so he could be a double factor dominant pied)

Here's pictures that show the difference:

Opaline

Normal

In opaline varieties, the striping pattern on the head is reversed, making it look lighter.:)

brandon said it write :)

here's a pic of mine
opaline

normal

and i agree with nev on the mutations, althoug i did think scrathcy was a recessive pied at first as i couldn't see an iris ring, but like he said it could be a double factor as it has less markings on him, i have a double factor dominant pied

Aha ive found a site that really explains mutations well, itchy does have a rather pink cere with just a tinge of blue this leads me to believe he is infact a double factor dominant pied :p

and scratchy is an opaline grey with no dark factor with grey wing just like nev said (not tht i doubted him :p)

here is the site for those who are having trouble with mutations, i know the information has been said elsewhere, something in the way this site is just made things easier for me to understand :D

Sorry. I did get the names mixed up!

If Itchy is a double factor dominant pied all of his chicks would be dominant pied. If he is single factor half of his chicks would be dominant pied.

Half of the chicks would inherit a grey factor. Half would be yellow faced. Opaline is sex-linked so it would only show on the chicks if the **** bird has a hidden opanine gene. Greywing is recessive so it would only show if both have a greywing gene
