I bought a toy for my budgies to sit/sleep on. It is supposed to be hung at the top of the cage so it sits in the air. At first my father hanged it with thin black wires. At first everything was fine, the toy stood steady and my budgies loved it. But then I noticed that they kept biting the wire and eventually the black plastic on it started to fall off revealed a rose gold colored wire. I wasn't sure if it was safe for them to be putting that in their mouth so I rearranged how the toy is hung so that they can't bite it. I want to find a completely new thing to hang it though. I found a small D ring that I think would be great to hang the toy. But I came here to see what you guys think!

The rings: Metal D-Rings
(The toy would be attached to the ring, and then the ring would be clipped to the top of the cage)

Some questions:
Would it be safe if my budgies were to touch with their mouth? (It's metal)
Is there any other things I could use to hang the toy?

Welcome to talk budgies. The safest metal for use around our bird's is stainless. Anodized metals are a pretty tough finish but beyond that I really don't know much about them. Many bird toy's are made with plated metals and the big thing is keeping an eye on them for rust or signs of chipping etc. ...:)

thank you everyone! I think i'll buy the pearl quick link.
Sounds good! I would try to find them locally. That one that I linked was 6.01 for one link. Waaaaay over priced. I get mine in this little hole in the wall hardware store, I actually think it's a True Value, if you have any of those. But I get mine for around $1.29 or $1.49 each. Let me know if you can't find them cheap and I can get you some. Just pm me if you want.
