My female budgie is 39 grams. She is a bit overweight so I wonder how can I set her on diet when she is so into seeds and oatmeal. How would you describe a healthy diet budgie? I would invite everybody to share or exchange informations and links about the subject. Thank you

Hrm, did your avian vet say she is overweight? Budgies can be still considered good weight between 35g-45g. My Sweetie, for instance, is a very large boned budgie is should be in the lower-mid 40s. My Lemon, however, should be in the mid 30s.

You have been given excellent advice I like to add one thing beside diet exercise is also important

If your budgie is having out of cage time and is a good flyer that's fine

if your budgie is over weight you should try holding back on seed for a while and start introducing heather things in to her diet, like carrot shavings and lettuce. or it could be that she isn't getting enough exercise
try letting her fly around the house a bit more,
even just a few minutes
can make a big difference in your budgies health!
