Hi everyone,

I'm really keen to try these seed bells:
Homelife - How To Make A Birdseed Bell

But altering it as was previously suggested in another Talk Budgies topic from a few years ago from FaeryBee:

"Making seed bells for our budgies might be fun.

I'd substitute a budgie seed mix instead of using wild bird seed though and would suggest leaving off the ribbon as the budgie could get tangled in it and injure itself."

I'm wondering if anyone has tried this and can give me an idea of how long the bells can last in a cage? They use egg.

Because the eggs would be baked, it is essentially the same as any other baked good and can safely be kept out

I also would make sure the wire were stainless steel or unanodized aluminum, as those are safe metals for budgies.

That's a very cool idea! :D

 I am talking several years ago here.....in the days when Summer was Summer......sigh

I am sitting here in the middle of a thunderstorm and heavy rain. The electricity keeps shorting and the internet dropping out. Just love Summer in the UK

A bit delayed (I went away on holidays :D ) but I tried the seed bells, they worked really well... But our little guy wasn't a fan! He tried it a couple of times but he didn't take to it. :( perhaps a little bit of honey would change his mind...
