My budgie, Hosaf has some stuff on its ceres but it just might be me being overly-careful. How can I know if its mites or not? I dont know if its crusty or not. Can someone tell me? Thanks.

I'm going to guess it's a he judging by the cere, but correct me if I'm wrong. Are his legs any different than usual? How about under the eyes? I don't see any red little dots. To me too, the cere looks great.

In the thread I introduced her, they told me its a she I will try to get a close shot(kinda difficult, she is always on the move...) so I can finally be sure.

No, her legs are normal too.

I agree, your budgie girl has a perfectly healthy beak/cere and she looks to be in very good shape health wise.

She is a pretty bird and looks fine to me.

Definitely female, and I don't see any evidence of mites. Females tend to have light blue colored ceres with white encasing the blue. Males have a very rich dark blue cere.
