Doodles!

The other day I was talking to my fellow dungeons and dragons playing boyfriend about my elf and his faerie dragon familiar.

But the conversation went on a little bit until we hit the topic of the faerie dragon, and how it was even classed as an actual dragon because it's so tiny.

So I just came out with "Well, budgies are parrots but they're tiny. You can also tell their gender from the bit on their beak... And Faery dragons chest scales show their gender. That, and they're adorable."

It sparked me into drawing the dragon in question!

And this isn't a doodle but when I get REALLY bored I make keyring charms out of polymer clay.

I might try making budgies next :giggle:

I LOVE IT! I draw lots of dragons myself, I might just post a few of my doodles one of these days :giggle:
What a gorgeous dragon and an even better budgie analogy :D
And I love the keyrings, too, they're just adorable! Karma to you for your talent, my friend :)

Amber, beautiful drawing. You certainly got it all down pat: the cuteness and the dragonness. I love the little mushroom detail.

Talking of mushrooms, your bangles are adorable. :)

You've got some great art! I'm a huge dragon lover myself! I used to draw dragons 4-5 years ago, but I've been in a big art block ever since I went to art college. It really drained me and made me lose inspiration to draw the things I liked :(. Do you like to do digital art too, or mostly traditional?

Have you heard of the website FlightRising? It's sort of a virtual pet website about dragons :3. You should check it out! It seems like a kiddie website, but a poll showed that most people are 20+ years old!

Oh wow, that is a very nice dragon and I love your style of ink and coloring that's similar to many of my favorite comic book artists like Neal Adams and Jack Kirby. These are the artists of the Silver Age Batman, Superman, Hulk, and Captain America comics!

Keep 'em coming, Amber!:)

I mostly do digital art, actually! It winds my lecturers up to no end though because they like seeing the works in progress or 'the real thing'
Personally I stopped getting along with traditional art because i have a habit of smudging, or the paper creases, and there's no undo feature. haha

I know what you mean about art college draining you though. I'm on my summer break ( AND I DON'T GO BACK UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER WOO!) and I'm still just... bluh. D:

...hmmmm. I may check it out.
