My dog Elvis besides being a wonderful companion and sworn enemy of all stray cats that dare to come to his territory, also has an uncommon talent: recycling.
It started out as a fun game some 12 years ago when he was still a puppy, the game turned into a really nice trick and ever since then he helps with the recycling of all paper/cardboard items as well as plastic bottles/containers.
His favourite material is cardboard, he even pays attention to the kitchen paper towel to see if it's close to being finished, he then begs for the roll and places it in the appropriate recycling bin.

But sometimes, when he is in a particularly good mood, this happens.
He goes to the couch with his prized possession, in this case an empty cereal box and plays with it a little.

What are you looking at? I did nothing wrong!

Just let me have it for a bit, I will recycle it afterwards. I promise!

Thanks, everyone! Elvis really is a very good boy, when I saw him leave the kitchen with the cereal box last week, I just had to capture the moment and share with you all here. :)

He is a sweet little guy. I am a big fan of spaniels myself having had 5 English springers over the years. When my wife wanted to get a small ankle biter for in the house, I wasn't to enthused, and didn't even know what a maltese was. After I researched the breed a little, I found out that they are the smallest member of the spaniel family and told my wife, "let's go get one of them maltese you were talking about"...that's how we got our baby Mini....:D

Thanks, Randy! I also didn't know your Mini belonged to the spaniel family, it's good to know Elvis and Mini are distant cousins. ;)

Thanks, Despina!
Good, loyal pets take after their owners, and here we make recycling a fun thing to do and with Elvis' help it's even more fun! :)
