Hey, I woke up this morning and the budgie have had for around 2-3 years has a bloody egg coming out of her anus and is stuck. I am 17 years old and my parents couldn’t care less about their health. Is there a way for be to be able to help her before I can convince them to take her to the vet when it opens? I know this situation is difficult and I will try my best to make sure she’s fine, but I don’t know the likely hood of her going. She is already isolated in another carrying cage with millet spray to comfort her but I don’t know what else to do atm. Any advice will be appreciated, thanks!

Have you managed to get your budgie to the Avian Vet?

Ask your parents to read the following if they are not agreeing she needs treatment:

When a person" adopts" a pet, that individual assumes the responsibility of caring for that animal.
The pet is totally dependent on the owner for everything, including receiving the medical care and attention it deserves if it becomes ill or injured.

Those who believe that the expense of having a pet ends should be only the cost of the pet plus food, housing and toys are leaving out the most important part of the equation.
