however, I need help determining gender so I can decide a suitable name for the beautiful bird. Can someone help?

Thanks! Yes the beak is also rather dry today.. what should I do?
The bird is a lovely lady, it appears that there is some dryness or crustiness along the very bottom of the cere, is that correct?

I haven’t seen her drink water at all so I’m hoping it’s dehydration and not mites..?

The purpose of this forum is to promote the BEST PRACTICES in the care of budgies for their optimal Health and Well-Being
Locating an Avian Veterinarian

Your little female is beautiful. It does look like she may have mites.
I recommend you treat her with either ivermectin spot-on treatment or Scatt for Birds spot on treatment.
You can take her to your Avian Veterinarian for treatment.
It's best to take care of the problem before it progresses. Do not try to use mite spray - it is very dangerous for your budgie.

What have you named her?

Hi there and welcome to the forums!

Your little girl is gorgeous! I agree that it’s always best to take birds into the vet for a checkup. I can’t see the cere well enough to confirm that she may have mites or not but it’s best to treat it in the early stages before it becomes obvious. Therefore just in case, it’s best to take her in to the vet as mentioned above ♥

Meanwhile you’ve come to a great place to learn even more about the best of budgie care practices. Please be sure to read through the links provided above to ensure you’re up to date on the best of budgie care practices. Best wishes for your little girl!
What’s her name?

Cheers 👋🏻
