Hi these are my 2 budgies. The green/yellow is Betty, she’s 6m old. The blue/white is 8w old. We’re not sure if it’s a Barry or a Beryl yet!

Hi there and welcome to the forums!

Your little ones are adorable ;) Beryl looks to be male in that photo, could you post photos taken in natural light showing his cere? We'll be able to confirm his gender for you then! Additionally, in the photo, what's the whitish stuff on his feet?

It's great to have you here! Meanwhile, please be sure to read through the forums' many budgie articles and "stickies" to ensure you're up to date on everything. If you have questions after doing so, feel free to ask as we'd be happy to help.

Best wishes and hope to see your budgies around the forums! 👋

Thanks for the reply . I hope this photos better. It’s the lighter marks around the nostrils which make me think girl. The red mark in the middle is from a crash into the window blind yesterday (it’s healing well)
Oh and the white marks in the feet was just poop from being in the carrier ! He/she has enjoyed a splash around in water since!
