A friend of mine found a parakeet yesterday in the Sharpstown area of Houston, TX. I searched for missing parakeet ads ( on craigslist, houston spca, etc.) but haven't seen anything.

He's an adult blue and yellow parakeet. Very friendly, easy to handle.

I would love to find his original owner if possible.

Very awesome that you are doing everything you can to find the owner, who no doubt is heartbroken. Maybe call the area vet's offices and shelter's to see if anyone has inquired with them...

Kudos for searching. You could advertise in a craigslist "found" section and
check with local vets. If you get a nibble as the owner, make sure that
you ask for a description/photo not the other way around.
