Hi all :)

I got this scruffy looking female yesterday from a people who could
not have her anymore.
So I took her in.
I was wondering what color she is?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think she is a yellow face type II sky blue greywing opaline budgie.

Thank you for your answer :)

lol and I thought she was light green:p
I hope she is gonna look better and gain more weight.
She look so thin.
I bet she is gonna have a looong bath
to make those scruffy feathers shine again :)
Almost all our budgies are from people
who could not have them any more :)

She does look green, but I think that's the light blue that got mixed up with the yellow. If she were light green, she would have the same colour of your male budgie in the picture.
She is in rough shape, hopefully with your care, she will put on a healthy amount of weight. I'm glad you got to adopt her. :)

That is one scruffy looking little bird! But she is certainly still really pretty! You'll need to post pics once she's nice and preened up.

Thank you all for wonderful comments!
you are great :)

Its amazing what yellow face does with the blue,
turn whole blue bird into green!

Little feathered friends said she is also cinnamon?

I will take new pictures today for all of you to see
how happy she is now!
And she sure looks better:D:budgie:
She is very happy with my light green (greywing?) male.

She is not cinnamon. Aluz and Clinton have the correct mutation. If she happened to be cinnamon and greywing combined, you still would just see the grey, and not the cinnamon, and you would need to test breed to figure out if the cinnamon was there.

(By the way, Hi Elma! As you can tell, I don't come on here a lot. -Finnie)

Oh, did you decide she should have a friend while she's in quarantine? That's taking a risk with a scruffy bird, cuz her problem might not be only due to getting picked on. She could be sick. I hope she turns out healthy for you.

Hi Finnie, nice to see you here!!

:D

I have never quarantine my birds.
I know about the risk getting something.
Before birds are imported to Iceland
they do tests.. if 1 bird is sick.. well..
the whole flock is sent to heaven..
Its very little bird sickness going on here.

She looks great now!
Love her pretty color!
She like Hermes:cool:
