HI....wondering what cere colours harlequins have. I have an obviously female older harlequin but the new one I'm not sure. Do the cere's stay pinkish purple if they're male like my recessive pied? Just wondering. Knowing would be helpful =). Also do they breed as well as say blue or yellow birds?

Harlequin is just another name for a recessive pied, the term is not used much now but it used to be commonly used for yellow face blue recessive pieds

The female recessive pied's cere is the same as a female's of any other mutation. The male's cere will stay pinkish throughout his life

Recessive pieds have no problems breeding but because they are recessive both parents must have the gene for the mutation to be visible in the chicks
