How sweet of Hashtag to fly out of the counter and land on the floor to be with his mate. Retweet does make a good attempt at flying and has a bit of lift, I have seen much worse and she still gets some exercise that way. 
Her short flight into the kitchen reminds me of baby sparrows learning how to fly, they first start with little flights very close to the ground.
