Hi guys!

It's been a while, sorry if it feels like I dropped off the earth, life always finds a way to get in the way lol.

Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that Pico is thriving, he will turn 2yo in April, and he just got his biyearly vet visit which he passed with flying colors! He's 48gr of pure muscle and energy.

And here's a little picture of him with his new brother, Bowser, which I adopted a little over a week ago (and a few more cuz he's a cutie) . They're very curious about each other!

He's looking great and certainly seem fascinated with the turtle. I would put a top on the turtle tank or a screen of some type, if Pico falls or jumps in he could drown in that depth of water and if he poops in the tank that would not be good for Bowser.

The top does have a partial glass cover, and I do keep a very close watch on Pico when he's out, but yes, I will put some kind of screen to avoid accidents just in case. :)

Pico is adorable! Great photos of him, I can see his personality shine through. Honestly... If he ever met my girl Mallorn, I can tell that they would 100% fight each other. Mallorn dislikes other birds but ESPECIALLy outgoing birds like herself. He seems like quite a ball of fun!

I know you know this (and I'm sure that the reason you took a photo of Pico stealing a bite of your sandwich was to show that he's a cocky silly thing) but I wanted to put a notice here for ALL members:

Please be careful with eating human food around your budgie. Foods high in sodium and with added sauces and sugars as well as processed foods are not good for budgies. It's best to have your budgie secured in their cage during human mealtimes, unless you're specifically intending for them to eat what you are serving (i.e budgie chop, etc.)

You've been given excellent advice by both Cody and StarlingWings and I agree completely.

Pico is indeed very curious and it's fun seeing him peering through the side of the aquarium at Bowser.

I'm usually careful about what I let him munch on (that was low sodium chicken ham) but the reminder is not uncalled for, I'll keep it in mind more in the future 😂👍
