I have now 3 budgies. The first is 1 and a half year old, yellow budgie, Miki and we buy him as male badgie but some are saying now that he is a female budgie, second one is Kiki, blue budgie almost 1 year old we got him as female but for that one we are sure is male. Now the new one i dont know how old it is i have it 1 week, he has white/pink nose, loves to dig in to the seed. I have a picture from Miki and Kiki, i want to know if which one is male which one is female. Miki is a lot afraid from Kiki and they are in separated cages cause Kiki wants to bite Miki foot. From the third budgie i will send you soon as i get one, he is still afraid from us i dont want to scare him.
Thx in advance.

Hi! :welcome: to Talk Budgies

From the first picture posted, both budgies appear to be male.
Male budgies have a smooth transclucent pinkish/purple cere.
The second picture appears to have been taken with a flash which washes out the color of the cere.

To determine gender accurately for Miki, please post a full-frontal close-up picture of the cere taken in natural light. Do not use flash and do not have the bird in direct sunlight.

I recommend you remove the plastic and/or wooden dowel perches in the budgies' cage and replace them with natural wood perches of varying diameters to reduce the risks of pressure sores.

Hi
Miki and Kiki are both males.
Miki (yellow budgie in top photo) looks to be a recessive pied mutation, and as such, is likely to keep the pink in his cere as he matures. This may be what is confusing the people who are telling you that he is female.

Bibi’s cere appears to be very pale; from that photo I suspect that Bibi is a female.
More photos of Bibi (no flash, no direct sunlight) will help.
:)

If that photo is an accurate representation of the colour of her cere, then Bibi is female. :)

The links that FaeryBee has posted above, are an excellent source of information that will help you create the best environment for these birds, and also advise you how to avoid unwanted breeding.
If you have further questions after reading, please post. :001_smile:
