Help to identify gender of this budgie I'm guessing it's a male but not sure

Locating an Avian Veterinarian

I recommend you remove the wooden dowel perches in the cage and replace them with natural wooden perches of varying diameters to help prevent pressure sores.

Yeah it's mine, thank you very much. Just got him few days back so I didn't name him yet if you have any suggestions for naming him please tell. He seems very young can you please tell me his exact age ??
Well, you happen to have a budgie that has a mutation that makes him retain his baby appearance his whole life~ So you usually can’t tell by looking at these budgies how old they are. The mutation is called recessive pied. Usually you can see some bars on the head that are only present as chicks and that can reveal how old the budgie is. If I look closely, I can see there seem to still be bands above the cere and eyes even though they’re mostly gone due to the pied patches, so I can guess he’s about 8 months of age 😃
Oh! thank you 💗 I thought he's a dominant double pied. so he won't get ring in his eye even he gets older??
It's possible but from what I can see his markings definitely are recessive pied. A bigger possibility than double dominant is combination pied, which is usually recessive pied + clear flight or dom pied. But looking at the grizzled pattern of the wing markings and the pattern of the remaining blue patches I do think he's either very heavily recessive pied or combination pied. Time will tell for sure! :D
