If all goes well, this week I'll be picking up this sweet little girl!

Skye is a perfect name

This is a picture of our Skye. We picked her up this past August. Bit of a rascal really, chews everything and puts what she doesn't like to eat, into her water dish lol. Enjoy your feathered friend!

Ahh, Alexis, is Skye a Dutch Blue? Those are my favourites

I love this little purple girl, too, maybe a whitefaced violet? Did the breeder mention her mutation?
He didn't say, no. I was just so excited about her.

I know any name you choose will be perfect. I am partial to Belle, a beautiful name for a beautiful little lovie.
I'm going to go pick her up tonight. The cage I have on hand is on the small side, but I'm saving up until I can get the budgies a bigger one so Bluebelle can have theirs.

I admit I do not know much about love birds. Will ask my local pet store. We picked Skye up from a rescue center & they didn't have a lot of knowledge. I'm hoping to go to a Raptor center next week & meet a few owls etc. I'll show her picture & maybe someone there can tell me more.

Your Skye is lovely and I'm glad you have adopted her. :)
I couldn't help to notice you have a birdie tent. If possible I would suggest you to remove the tent from the cage, the same hazards can happen with both budgies and lovebirds. Those birdie tents are viewed as nesting sites and can encourage females to get broody and potentially lay eggs. The birds can also get sick by ingesting the fibres if they happen to chew on the material.

Bad news. Couldn't pick Bluebelle up tonight, but probably will sometime in the next couple days.

I'm sure it will be worth the wait!
Thanks for the info, Skye chewed thru the straps within the first week so it's been tossed out already LOL. Replaced it with a multi-layer chewable toy.
We have our feathers crossed for you, hoping you get to bring Bluebelle home soon. ;)
