I don't know of anyway to deliberately breed a halfsider. It is not a mutation, it has to do with how the chick developed in the shell.

Half sider isn't a gene you can breed. It is the same as having a human who is half black half white. Half siders usually have a line right down their body showing the difference in color. This is usually how you tell your bird is a half sider. Many breeders never breed a half sider. In my twelve years of breeding I have bred one.

I agree, it is not something you can breed on purpose :)

It happens when when 2 embryos fuse together so to speak when they should be 2 seperate birds, and the result is a bird that is genetically more or less half one mutation and half another :)
