Well, Hemingway is getting more confident with flight.
He's still very Linnie in that he prefers to walk, but when he wants to get somewhere far away now...he doesn't mind a small flight.
This morning was the first time ever that he flew to my shoulder.

I know that may sound odd for an unclipped 1 year-old bird, but Linnies are basically feathered tree shrews :)

Please note: the sea grass tent that you see here is only in their travel cage that I use to bathe them outside. Linnies, unlike budgies, really like to hang onto something when they bathe and this works well for them.
You should never have anything like a tent, coconut shell or any other kind of nest box in your budgies cage as it will encourage breeding behavior and lead to a lot of hormonal behavior.
