Hello Everybody, so a word from Cody said that i need a vet, and i think so too, but i have heard that regular vets are not typically for birds much so can ya'll give me any vet places that help with birds or are just for birds please and thank you.

I'm trying to get him to eat vegetables and fruits, but he just won't eat so all he really eats is seeds and drinks water of course. keep in mind that i have watched a much of tutorials on how to feed your bird other foods then seeds and pellets but still wont eat other things than pellets seeds and drink water. thank you for the support of my friend here.

Nothing you do at home will help him. He looks like he is very sick. A bird laying on the bottom of the cage like that is a seriously bad sign. You need to follow Cody's advice and locate a nearby vet. If you do not do this, your bird will most likely die.

sad but very true, please give us an update as soon as you can. keep your little guy as warm and comfortable, i see that you have a rock bedding so you could put paper towels instead so he has a softer place to sit.(birds are on the bottom of the cage when they are to weak to balance on a perch)

also cody would guardian angel or Pedialyte be appropriate in this situation?

If the bird does not move from the bottom of the cage, there should be food and water provided. If the bird is not eating or drinking at all then Pedialyte or Guardian Angel would be appropriate in an attempt to keep the bird hydrated. However as previously stated, by the time a bird is at the bottom it is usually quite ill and really needs to be hospitalized for the best chance of survival.

Hes flying around but goes to the bottom of the cage then and there but im still looking for a vet near where i live

so yes he is eating and drinking thankfully he actually flew up back to the highest perch in the cage and what i realized was the spot that he is in is the place where kiwi passed away (i cleaned the cage up as fast as possiable).

plowery, I really don't know why you're going on three days now without taking the guy to a vet. There's nothing we can give advice-wise that will somehow get Pee-Tree better again. He needs to be properly checked by a vet.

yes i also agree with chickwas your bird needs a vet, even if pee-tree is acting a bit normal i would still implore a checkup.

Locating an Avian Veterinarian

Avian Vets have special training to determine the cause of symptoms resulting from illness or trauma.
This is important as "regular" vets will often overlook symptoms that are quickly obvious to an Avian Vet.
When you rely on anyone who has not had training in Avian diagnosis and care, you may be delaying effective treatment.
This can prolong suffering that may be avoidable.
The bird will often require a more intense, prolonged treatment with a poorer chance of full recovery than it would have if you seek prompt professional diagnosis and treatment at the first sign of illness.
If there are no Avian Vets near you, please find an Exotic Pet Veterinarian with experience in dealing with small birds.
Having your budgie examined by an Avian Vet allows you to develop a good relationship with the vet in case your bird needs care for an injury or illness in the future.
Additionally, it is always helpful for the vet to have a baseline for your bird to refer to should it need future treatment.
