My lovely budgie Dwight has a tiny feather that keeps sticking up into his right eye which seems to be really bugging him. It's around his eye, and he's not the sort of chap that would let us get close to his eye to sort it out properly. I've read about it and read that either cutting it, plucking it, or putting wax on it could help. Well, I wouldn't do any of these things to be honest, I think it's far too dangerous to put something sharp close to his eye and I don't want to hurt him. Also, wax surely couldn't be good for him either.
I have tried using a wet cotton bud to smooth it down while distracting him with millet, but he kept leaning away from the cotton bud and it made it impossible.
Any ideas of what I could try?
Thank you :budgie:
