On a female budgie that was given to me a yr ago, she seems to always have a dirty vent, and my friend took her to the vet and said it was perfectly normal, the thing is that i bred her with a bird and well 4/5 of the babies that came out like the mom same mutation on both clutches, she had 5 babies on the 1st clutch and another 5 on the second and they are about 3-4 months old and they still get their vents really dirty as if they have diarrhea but they don't, does any one think its genetic? :S

If they are english budgies then yes :) They were bred to have longer fuller feathers which includes the vent ones, and this can make it easier for poop to get stuck.
