Went to wake my budgie, Dexter, up this morning and saw this on his wing.

He is acting perfectly normal and happy, and flying normally. I don't recall any event that may have caused bleeding. (Sometimes he has night scares and flies around his cage bumping into things, but usually the noise wakes me up so I don't think this happened). Yesterday I'm pretty sure these markings weren't there.

Thank you in advance.

Those marks are not from a feather bleeding in that particular spot.
It could possibly be blood from elsewhere that the feather has ‘picked up’.
It could also be just a stain picked up from elsewhere e.g. a wet feather (water bowl/bath/wet food) touching a water colour dyed toy.
If he’s acting perfectly normally, then I wouldn’t be too concerned. Just try to be a bit of a detective as to what it could be.
It’s great that you’re so observant to changes. :)

I agree with Julia completely.

How is Dexter behaving today?
Thank you both for your replies! He's fine :) Not sure what the marks are, but he's perfectly happy and healthy. I'm not worried.
