Hi all :)
I have a 8-9 week old keet that has a color patteren thats unlike any of my other birds. he looks green from far but once close he looks kinda torquoise. upon looking at his feathers the base of feathers has little yellow. rest of feather is green but on the edge, maybe about a cmm or 2 is torquoise. So even though at 1st look jrs green depenfing on lighting and angle he'll shine off the torquoise or you see hes yellow undercoat. is there a mutation name for this? I was thinking violet green as his vent area is torqoise.

Okay thetes some pivd of him in gallery. tjey dpnt fo him justice but you csn kinfa see the blue/torqoise gloss on some of the shots and in 2 you can see the how his feathers habe torquoise/blue on the edges. some shots you can see the yellow hue underneath. hes very irredecent looking in real life.

This a great topic. Ive had the same question but never figured out how to ask it with being confusing. I have a turquoise pied. Shes all white except her belly has turquoise. From far away she looks Luis a blue pied but if get up close u can see that its a blue green (kinda like a sea foam color).
