Yes, he's a male, and I would agree with double factor spangle. However, does he have green on his back? I'm not able to look at the last picture; the thumbnail won't open, but if he's totally yellow all over with no green or black then he's df spangle :)

Thanks very much. He does have a very pale green color under the wings.

What about his age?

The problem now is that I now have 2 males, no females. And since I brought the new guy, they get along fine, but the old guy keeps approaching him, as if he's a female, Why is that?...
the new guy walk away. this goes on all the time
should I do something about it? or is that normal behavior?
by the way, the old guy had a female but she died about a month ago, no siblings. She was young.

That looks like a normal level of suffusion on his rump, so yes, I'd still say he's a df spangle.

It's actually much better you have two males! Now you don't have to worry about accidental breeding ;) Besides, two males tend to get along very well together.

Just because the other male is "approaching him" doesn't mean that he thinks he's a female, budgies of all genders who are friends exhibit behaviour that some people think is "courtship behaviour" but is really just regular behaviour for two budgies who are close friends

It's hard to tell - he's fully mature, so at least a year. It's hard to tell once they've matured what age they are since there aren't any other signs to look for. If he has his full grey irises as well as his blue cere, he's definitely above 1 year old.

Sorry that wasn't more helpful
