Time for the sexing, because I keep hearing different things!

The previous owners told me that the breeder sold them as males.
And I assumed a breeder would know the gender, even if their ceres are not dark blue and seeing as Ludwig is a bright mutation I figured it's normal. Here are some pictures I hope you can help me out!

King Ludwig and his knight Milo
Or is it King Ludwig who is being dominated by his queen Mila afterall?!

Milo i scurrently molting, so he has a spiky face :3 (just as I wrote that he threw a feather at me)

Milo

Ludwig

oh, and I'm not sure if this is the right section for it, but while we're at it, it would be nice to know their mutations/colors :D

Milo was pretty blue when I got him, here's a rather old picture

Some breeders just aren't honest and flat out lie when it comes to gender.
If they aren't knowledgeable enough, they can also mislead the buyer.
The same goes for pet store employees.

As to your Mila's colouring, she is a cobalt blue single factor golden face opaline budgie. The yellow from her golden face genes has spread to her blue feathers, making them look more greenish.

You're welcome! :)
Now that I've seen Ludwig's back and wing feathers, I can add that he is spangle, not opaline. He is a sky blue dominant pied spangle budgie.

I agree that Mila is a beautiful little girl :)

Aluz is absolutely right about Mila and Ludwig's mutations, however, I think Mila looks more sky blue goldenface to me. Is her exposed blue like Ludwig's or darker?
They are gorgeous :)
