Budgies often eat and drink when you are not around to see them do so. And, just like people, budgies and other animals have some days where they eat and/or drink more than other days.

You need to pay attention to all the signs exhibited.
Eating, drinking, activity level, pooping, etc.

Reading the stickies and budgie articles and becoming as familiar as possible with the information on the forum will help put your mind at ease about such things.
