Like I mentioned before, I've had Leo and Calypso for about 10 months now, but never got around to developing a real bond with them. As a New Years resolution I am going to work on developing a real bond with them.
Leo and Calypso live together in the same cage, but their bond is not very strong. They rarely sit by each other and never groom each other. Leo is very hyper and likes to jump around and chirp, and Calypso is not a fan of Leo's behavior.
Leo still lets me pick him up, but Calypso does not. Starting a few days ago I've been making an effort to talk to them whenever I'm in the room, and I have read to them a couple times and Leo chirped along with me as I did so. I'll be working on making sure that they are comfortable with my hand and then spending some one on one time with them in the future when they have gotten comfortable with my hand and being with me.
