Hi all,
I’ve had two budgies before but sadly they’ve both gone over the rainbow bridge now 😢. I had to wait a while before getting anymore, as it’s been such a sad loss. They did well though and were good ages.
Anyway, I’m finally ready for another and went to visit some today. They’re 5 weeks old. I’d like a male, but I really struggled to determine if there were any. I found some of the females very obvious, they had very white or light blue ceres. There were two I thought could be male, as the ceres were deep purple but I felt there was still a light-ish colour at the top, so I find myself unsure…
I’ve included a photo. Is it more than likely to be male as the cere is so purple?
