I've had Sweetie for such a short time and he's come so so far, it's silly. To think he went from a sad, scared little bird who wouldn't let anyone near him to giving me a kiss on my shoulder, that HE initiated... I'm so happy and he's so happy too! And to think, he was just sitting alone in a cage with no love, this huge personality in a tiny body. I am so glad I convinced my husband to bring him home with us.

Please ignore the super close up of my face, haha

Sweetie is such a handsome fellow! So much love packed into his little body. You two make a good team. And add your husband to that team!

Yes, that's the plan! My husband is a very big guy (6'5" Swede, haha) so when he comes over to the cage he kind of... looms over it, which is a little intimidating for someone as tiny as Sweetie! But we are working on it, sometimes he will sit in my chair near Sweetie's cage while he does his studying, and he'll come over while Sweetie and I are having play time and talk gently to him to get Sweetie more used to him. He also finds music just for Sweetie, hee hee!
