[Budget baby]

:violin::birthday: so yesterday was my birthday! But here in Australia it is a long weekend, which means everyone has Monday off work, so that also means you can't go out anywhere because we are a tourist town and become swamped with people LOL It also happens to be our football grand final weekend as well lots of celebrations and commiserations going on.
So I always spend the day at home, first up I got breakfast in bed, followed by presents followed by morning tea at a local café where my daughter in law works. Then came home went and had a read of my book in bed then got up and had afternoon tea. More presents then the kids came over and yes more presents How lucky am I I got a lovely scarf with birds on it, gardening equipment, an outdoor clock, and I am going to go to the pet shop tomorrow to choose another budgie to sadly REPLACE the one that escaped recently. Will post pictures when I can .

Yes, you'd have two official birthdays in one year! That works well on people who love celebrations.
As to me, I would rather have an uneventful birthday, I'm not that fond of big parties and being centre of attentions. I would rather be with my birds than with lots of people staring at me while I blow the candles on the cake.

Well funny you should say that because for some unexplained reason I always feel depressed and unhappy when I wake up on my birthday, but the day after I feel great and thankful for all that happened on the day. This has been happening since a couple of years ago, UUMMM maybe I need to be analysed??? Ha ha .
