Hello Group
I am here asking for your help again.
I have been looking since early Dec to get a blue / white male baby budgie.
You have helped me out more than once and I am very grateful. Here is a picture of a blue / white that I have the opportunity to buy. It is about 3 months old and the seller says it is a male. I have been looking through the group's guides and pictures trying to determine the sex of the bird. I really want a male and I am not convinced that this is a male.
What does the group think?
Thanks

HI, Mike!

Others may disagree with me but I believe the budgie is a female given the pronounced whitish area around the nares.
Personally, if I were looking for a male, I'd pass on this one.

On my computer the cere looks slightly lighter at the top, could be the lighting, but the rest looks to be pink with a purplish cast to it which would indicate a male., what does it look like in person, if you see the white rings around the nares then I would agree with FaeryBee about it being a female.

It could well be my eyes or my computer monitor throwing me off.

Maybe you can post another picture? Make sure it's taken in natural light with no flash and no direct sunlight.
