Why Quarantine?

When you upload pictures as thumbnail attachments directly from your computer, tablet or phone, the forum automatically defaults to landscape.

To upload full-sized pictures with the proper orientation, please use a photo-sharing service such as PhotoBucket and follow the steps in these instructions:

For gender and/or mutation help - Lighting and Angle DOES matter

By the way, all photos entered in any of our forum contests must be a full-size photo and not a thumbnail attachment so it's good to know how to upload them! ;)

Is Heisenbird taking good care of Lucky and keeping him warm and fed?

What are you using as bedding in the nestbox?
It looks worrisome to me as the strands are long enough to wrap around any of your budgies' necks or legs and injure them. :eek:

Better choices for nest box bedding would be:

Pine shavings (not dust)
Aspen shavings (not dust)
Carefresh bedding

You've been given great advice above. I'm glad that Lucky is doing well; be sure to still read through the Budgie Breeding section of the forums to ensure you have covered all the necessary requirements to help Mum and Dad raise their little one :thumbsup:

Be sure to read through the other links provided as well, which include the forum's many Budgie Articles and "stickies" (threads "stuck" to the top of each subform for easy reference) to stay up to date on all the best practices for caring for budgies.
