The tail feathers that are currently showing are beautiful, I love the different shades of blue and gray.

It reminds me of a stormy sea. All the rest of his tail has this mottled blue gray. It's amazing how beautiful even a budgies bum can be, not to sound weird haha!

Matisse has a similar blue sheen to his bum feathers too! He's much darker obviously but wow, I never knew it could be so vibrant. That color is almost unreal!! 😍

Sometimes what is under the surface feathers is a real surprise, we don't see them until they either fall out or when they are preening.

Today my little men had quite the fun activity. I set up a nice hay forage area, took a while to find the right container as Matisse is a strong kicker!
