Here is cute April who I'm looking after for 10 days. She has warmed my heart already. She crawled all over me, sat on my shoulder and feet and then found a comfy spot just above my head on the brown cushion I had my head on (she has made her mark literally). I must put down towels now that I know where she prefers to be at night.

Also see what you think about her feathers being cut too short. I think even if they grow out her owners want to keep clipping her. Just a shame if they get it done TOO short again as she really tries to fly. I also wonder about her droppings as they don't seem too well formed to me. Are they meant to be similar to budgies' droppings? I will put some ACV in her water whilst she's here to hopefully bring her up to scratch a bit?

Anyhow I love her - she is my little companion already :D When I walked to the kitchen she jumped down on the floor and followed me squawking like a little duck!! How can you resist that????

April is a beauty, that's for sure! :D
From those pics it seems only one wing has been clipped and I have to agree that clipping was way too short... she must be out of balance many times when trying to fly.

Glad you got to see her photos Aluz. Oh, yeah, the one wing clipped and not the other. It's obvious now you say it.

Aww! She's a white face "peachface" lovie! Very adorable girl. :D

As to her wings... it looks like the feathers were either clipped or pulled out on the right side... That's a little strange indeed. She might have an easier time if it's evened up a little? I can see where you would have been concerned.

Ha ha, I never thought I would find lovebirds so cute. I always thought they wer BIGGER birds but now I know how tiny they are they are becoming quite irresistible to me. I guess I'm not helping you here hey?

April is adorable! She is just as cute as can be and you are going to have SUCH fun with her. :p
So glad you got to see the photos Deb. She is so absolutely delightful to look after. She is happy with her own company but also happy to have mine. She is playing on the floor right now with toys and on the play gym like Frankie used to. It's so good to have a bird out of the cage playing again and interacting with me.

I just love her little (big) personality. I can see why you LOVE lovebirds, Deb.

She's so cute! I can see why you would want to keep her! I never knew you could have just one lovebird - always thought you had to have a pair. :)

I think if you have one it really needs to be a companion bird but having one if you do that works pretty well from what I've read and hear. This little one sure is tame and will go to anyone! She loves people is just too cuddly and cute for words. She finds a spot just above my head when I lie on the couch at night and curls up like a baby chicken and stays there. She's sitting on my leg as I type this and has also found a spot in the corner of the keyboard to squat when I type! Tooo adorable for words really !!! :)
