My "baby" Robert, just got engaged! They are SO happy
- as am i! He took her away for the weekend and popped
the question on a secluded beach - he's so gorgeous (not
that i'm biased in any way.... :giggle:) They rang us this
morning, and poor Aimee is halfway between crying and
giggling! She can't stop! A big congratulations to both of
them, and wishing them both a lifetime of happiness together.
Love these guys so much.♥♥♥♥♥

And now the preparations :eek::D
Ah......yes! Aimee's mum, although a nice lady, is
one of those people that has to take over everything -
so i may just sit back and watch the show! I'm the
complete opposite. I'd prefer to just take a back seat
and stay out of the limelight! :D
Thanks everyone for the congrats! I will pass it on to
them. Proud mommy here! :D

Nice looking couple.....Congrats mom! I think your wise to sit back and let the control type have the show. We have two boys we have gone through this with and had some of those issues also. We just let them run with it and offered help on a regular basis.....:)

Congratulations to the couple. May be its just me but I would have some fun with the other mom. You could suggest Budgie napkins, slip a couple of budgie items in the register..........i could go on :)

LOL, budgie napkins and all. Rick, you always crack me up!
I am more of a stay in the background person too. I don't like to fuss, LOL. This is why my husband and I got married in Key West, with no one else around. It was just us, running up to the city hall. We did have a small gathering afterwards, a few drinks and a small cake, but it was very very private. My sister on the other hand, had a very traditional wedding, together with all the uncle, aunts, and people who we hardly knew besides the fact that they were supposed to be some relatives, came to about 200 of them

Dee, you're exactly like me! They all call me weird because
i don't like to make a big deal over anything. I tell them
just because i don't like to do things the way everyone else
does doesn't make me a bad person! :)

Wow, what an important day for you all!
Wishing the happy couple all the best, a
wonderful life together, and not too much
drama getting to the altar. I'm so glad
to hear that you like her too :)

But you didn't tell us one really important
thing about this lovely girl who is set to
join your family -- and if it's too personal a
question, I do apologize for intruding, but
we have to know! So do tell -- does she like
birds?

Pity budgies are so small. You could have
a budgie wingbearer -- er, RINGbearer!

Actually, she's a little scared of them if they fly near her
face unexpectedly! She's getting better though! :)
A budgie wingbearer........................
