My 4 month old budgie "Baby" sadly got out today. She is green/yellow and very friendly. We know the direction she flew to, and have searched and will continue to search. We are doing all the recommended things to do and will continue to.
Please if anyone has seen her or think they might have, please send me a Private Message
So sorry to hear about this. I hope Baby will be found soon.
Maybe you could indicate in what area people should be looking? I'm in New Zealand so not sure I will be able to spot her, but there may be other people on this forum closer to you
Thank you everyone. I'm very heartbroken and shocked that this has happened. She was the "velcro" Bird that I described in my previous posts, and i grew to love her clingyness. I forgot to mention my area, so stressed and missed it. I am in the Burlington, ONT, Canada area. Thanks so much for the positive thoughts and please keep them up. :budgie:
Believe in Miracles. Tony just found his way home. Gas stations in your area are good place to leave flyers. I had not thought of that before. Praying for safe return of your little one. Jo Ann
Do not lose hope! If your bird is tame, there is a great chance that he will look for people. It happened to my cockatiel Tony. He was gone for about two days or so but found his way to a person who brought him back to me. Keep looking and post ads everywhere! Luckily, budgies are colorful so people can spot them easily. I keep my fingers crossed you get Baby back. I know how painful this must be...
Thank you very much Eduardo. There is a popular festival this weekend in my city so posted lots of flyers there. So far posted 225 flyers around the city, hoping for the best! I have a vibe that she will be okay, like she is reassuring me
Try and see if you can get in touch with the festival organisers and let them know. They could provide help too through their Facebook page or other media they're using to reach visitors.
Your local radio stations may also run free community ads. Additionally, some radio hosts are very happy to be contacted and spread that kind of call for help during their time slot. If you can't reach anyone helpful on the phone at the station try individual hosts through their Twitter profile.
Oh okay thank you! Yep I've posted on CL, Kijiji, 911 parrot, birdhotline, parrotalert, and the classifieds for where I live, as well as facebook. If anyone has any other site that I can post on that would be amazing! I still have hope for my little girl.
Wishing you all the best & hope your budgie returns, I lost mine back in the summer of 2013 so know exactly how your feeling right now, it sounds like your doing all you can to aid getting `baby` home.
Thank you very much! Did you happen to get yours back? I think I'm getting some prank calls. I can't understand how people could do that to someone else :S
Good news everyone!! Some wonderful lady found Baby on friday, fed her and cared for her and saw my posters today then called Just picked her up right now, she is a bundle of joy and sooo excited to be home!! Thanks for all the help and I'm glad I can keep sharing her with you

I'm so, so happy for you guys! You must have been worried sick, and thank God someone found her who cared and was knowledgeable enough to take care of her.
I have a big smile on my face, I can't imagine your elation right now!
Welcome home, Baby!
My heart dropped when I got the phone call today! Lady said she wouldn't be home until 7:00 pm, felt like forever waiting! 6 days later and shes finally home Now she is sleeping back in her favourite spot, hoping she gets a peaceful sleep :fingerx:
She went on an awfully big adventure but I promised her it won't happen again! For the little Baby to never wanting to be in her cage, all she wants to do is pass out until sunrise
I'm sooooo delighted for you Sarah this is just such great news.
