If she is not eating or drinking she will not survive very long, you need the chemicals to be able to do a gram stain on the droppings, do you have that?
Unfortunately She cant hold down anything in her stomach; whenever she tries to eat or drink a little bit, she starts vomiting and everything come right back up😭If she is not eating or drinking she will not survive very long, you need the chemicals to be able to do a gram stain on the droppings, do you have that?
Thanks for your help I will try the online vet, wish us luck please 🙏🏼I was about to say bring her to a vet until I read that you don't have any where you live. Here's a link to help you find an online vet:
Locating an Avian Vet//On-Line Avian Veterinarian Help
The online vet will ask you questions and guide you through what needs to be done. As Cody mentioned, having stopped eating and drinking makes this a task that must be done asap. Please let us know how she's doing 💓!
The issue may not be bacterial, it could be fungal or parasitic, or a combination. Take a look at this Antimicrobial therapy for birds (Proceedings) Enrofloxacin is a commonly used first line treatment for bacterial issues, it has been prescribed for issues with my birds many times. If there are any zoos or wildlife rehab centers you could contact someone there may be able to help you.Unfortunately She cant hold down anything in her stomach; whenever she tries to eat or drink a little bit, she starts vomiting and everything come right back up😭
And no I don’t have gram stains, can’t I just give her antibiotics covering both gram positive and negative bacteria?
