Hello guys! yesterday , me and Alex celebrated our engagement with friends :)
As a tradition, greeks on their engagement wear their wedding rings on their left hand, and once they are married, they wear their wedding rings on their right hand :)

How exciting for you both Congratulations Despina and Alex... This is so wonderful I have seen some Greek Weddings and they are just Fantastic i have seen them on TV.. Indigo and i are so very happy for you both... You both will have to come out to Bundaberg for a holiday to see the Great Barrier Reef....

Here you wear the ring on the opposite hand when your a widow. You too look so happy.
Remember the wedding is not the end it is the beginning a long journey.

There are more traditions... In greek engagements there is a man of honour or a maid of honor. In mine, maid of honor was my best friend Mary :)

she wore to us our rings and she gave me and Alex presents :)
The little white candy are bonbons. Almonds covered in sugar, are given in engagements, weddings and baptisms. :) The bonbons that were in the same spot with the rings, as a tradition, are given by me to my female friends who are free (not engaged or married). They should put the bonbons under their pillow at night and maybe dream of their future husband :)
