Hi members,

Any newest budgie mutations ???

Had the red/ pink budgies existed for 1st time ???

Had White-faced green budgies existed for 1st time ???

Over 100 years since John Gould imported the first wild budgies to England on 1840.

Violet forms (DF violet-cobalt) of budgies had existed since 1930s, but seems strangely no pink / red budgies in existance yet.

Garvey's violet budgies had brilliant richly rosy purple bodies, with pink tones. Bred by F.Garvey, But seems the Garvey strain of violet budgies may became extinct many years ago in 1950s.

Cheers

Unfortunately there aren't the right selection of colours to create red or pink budgies. Its like trying to make purple paint with green and orange.

Violet forms (DF violet-cobalt) are still being bred today in the English budgies, and yes under certain light they do have richly rosy purple bodies.I have heard of white face green but have not seen one however have seen cream face green's.
