Hello once more to all my fellow budgie enthusiasts! I'm pretty bored all day at home so I'm usually thinking of fun crafts to do for my boys to enrich both our lives. As a result, I've decided to document my creations here! Hopefully some of my designs may inspire others.

Here's my latest work! A wonderful round swing perch made of polyethylene tubing (something to wrap around, sturdy, non toxic, easy to cut and poke holes in) with jute twine wrapped around that and sisal to top it off for some extra texture and grip. My goodness are my hands and arms getting a work out, I'll be super buff in no time! :ROFLMAO:

That looks great, the aluminum wire is not anodized, right?

I'm sure your budgies will love it!

As far as I've read in stickies and multiple threads about safe materials.. ook wire is not coated and supposed to be safe as it's aluminum hobby wire for hanging pictures on the wall. If I'm incorrect, I will remove it happily. I'd never want to jeopardize my birdies health! Here's a screen shot from Google about the exact ook wire that I purchased.

Another quick project I had time for today. A grass mat climbing tent! All it took was some bamboo skewers, a grass mat and leftover toy parts. Probably won't last long but I'm sure the babies will be enjoying it! And I also was proud of my cage clean and rotate today, enjoy a bonus full cage shot!
