There will be three separate threads today for the Bridal Shower Weekend Festivities!
1. Pedro and his Buds (feel free to add your pictures of your male birdies who are attending the events.
2. Baby Birdies having Fun (feel free to add your pictures of your young birdies who are attending today.
3. Poppy's Bridal Shower (feel free to add your pictures of your female birdies who have come to celebrate with Poppy)

Pedro and his Buds

Rosie and Nicky went out this morning for an early morning stroll

Poppy couldn't think of a better way to start a beautiful day than having brunch at the Country Club.

Oddball and Ollie headed for the driving range for a little practice before their tee time

Pedro is playing a round of golf with some of his buddies while Poppy and her girlfriends enjoy the Bridal Shower!

Pedro waiting on the 9th hole for the rest of his foursome to catch up to him.

Sunny and Shelby decided to take in a round today as well.

Since 18 holes of golf take a good 4 hours to play, Pedro's tee time was set for 1:00 PM
That way he'll be done by around 5. Poppy's Bridal Shower begins at 2:00 PM. Knowing how the girls like to gab and gossip, she figured it would go for at least three hours. Then the ladies and gents can all meet up for happy hour!

Some of the guys have opted to go to the pool, others to the fitness room and others over to the Town Centre to hang out at a Sports Bar.

Ares: That's golf? You've got to be kidding. All they're doing is hiking about and chasing that teeny ball with sticks?

Dan: This is golf, yes. Watch for a moment. It's a far more complicated game than you realize.

Ares: They're smacking a ball with a stick, and then applauding each other like they've done something amazing! This is dumb. Dan, I thought you said this would be fun on the greens! All that grass and open space, and everybody's walking on the paths!

Dan: Ares, will you please lower your voice! This is a very old game, played with much dignity and tradition. It's a lovely walk while pausing to demonstrate one's skill at maneuvering the ball into the cup, and those fine birds are actually playing with great skill, which you would realize if you had half an eye for the finer points of the game.

Ares: Skill at ball handling? Where's my soccer ball! I'll show you fun on the greens!

Dan: Ares! Come back here! That just is Not Done! Get off the course!

Ares: Hey! Pedro! Nice party! When you get tired of chasing that little ball around, come my way and I'll show you a real budgie's ball game!

Dan: Hello fellows! That bird? No, sorry. Don't know him. No, truly, never seen the hooligan before in my life. Look at that -- oh no, I can't look. Must hide behind my wing. He's so embarrassing! No manners at all. I can't believe he's an English budgie. He must be having us on. Any road, I'm so sorry I'm late. May I just walk along with you and admire your game?

Ares: Woohoo! Coming through! Watch out guys!

A limo, huh? Man, they are doing things up right! Are you footing the bill for all that Miss Vicky? Oddball and Ollie do seem to be having a good day!

Dan, no problem, man! Don't worry about Ares -- we have this whole course reserved for the day so it isn't like there is anyone here except those in our groups.

Ares obviously has a lot of testosterone built up. Maybe he needs to throw back a beer or two. (nudge, wink)

Ares -- hey Ares!! The soccer field is over that way (pointing to the driving range) We'll be over to play as soon as we finish up the last two holes, OK?

Dan, did Ares get a chance to try out the fitness center this morning? That seems like something he'd enjoy.

And how about you? What is your pleasure today? Swimming, tennis, a couple of drinks in the clubhouse tavern? I want to be sure all my guests are having a good time, you know!

Dan: Oh, I'm not sure he was aware of it being available. If he survives playing on the "soccer field" over there, perhaps we can direct him over there. He's much more agreeable once he's worn himself out, so that is an excellent suggestion!

It's great to know that you've decided you like golf after all -- and you actually shot a birdie. I'm impressed! You are doing VERY well if this is really your first time playing.

Pedro: Ares - there's a big poker game starting over in the "Tavern" portion of the clubhouse if you are interested. Stakes are high though, so make sure you have the talons to take on the big betters!
