Good morning budgie Guru s
I have a question about the pellets.
Little Basil is now eating his Harrisons pellets.
and in another cup Lafebers Tropical Fruit pellets .
Would it be counter productive to add Tops mini pellets.
Also I feed some Dr. Harverys seed .
mostly for treats. Or to encourage him too eat a new veggie.
In a day about 1/2 tsp of seeds.
He really just started to eat the Harrisons pellets.
I am so happy :)

I do not see any need to add Top's to the mix, that fact that he is eating the 2 you are providing is great and they are both complete diets in themselves and the little bit of seed is fine, good job!

That is wonderful you got them to eat pellets. What is your secret?
I turned pellets into a powder and mixed with seed.
then on some days I would do the same thing but dampen
the mixture with water.
and tamped it down so he would have to get the flavor of pellets,
because the water makes it stick.
it did not happen over night.
this has been over a month now.
You have to make sure that the food does not sour in warmer temps.
Also i have been mixing the whole pellet in as well.
he only started to nibble the pellets 2 days ago.
Hope this helps you

That's wonderful! I've been trying the powder thing with mine for weeks now and occasionally put just the pellets and he sits on his food dish and stares at me with contempt without even trying to take a bite. I also tried wetting them to make the dust stick, and he will pick at them then stop and begin his stare down with me. I also tried the paste, same thing. Hahaha  Patience, I know 😁

I know patience, !
Just keep at it,
never give up.
Just remember one step forward. two steps back

Good job. Mine have been on Harrisons for years now and I couldn't be happier with the results.
So happy to find organic
