Ok we called a lot of clinics and many don’t even treat birds but now just one said that they have a bird specialist
I searched and found a video of him where he preformed surgery on a baby macaw to remove a tube that he swallowed and stitched him up and everything
That is proof that he’s a bird specialist right?
I have trust issues with vets here
I would say that vet is your best bet right now since you don’t have other options and at at least you know he has worked with birds before!

This is taken now
Thankfully He’s eating and actually standing on it he’s acting almost 85% like normal
No temperature and no fluffiness and he’s sleeping well even chirping a little
But the toe definitely looks dead
I read that it would fall off on its own (self amputation) ? Is that a thing?
The vet and clinic that we found had some bad reviews that they would do anything even operations for money so we’re searching for another one

People tend to post reviews when they are unhappy or feel cheated and not when things have gone well, since there are no other avian vets where you are you may not have any choice. You always have a choice in either accepting or refusing any treatment suggested, if you do nothing you run the risk of a systemic infection from the foot and that could be fatal. If the toe tissue is dead it would be better to have it surgically removed. You can also confront the clinic about the reviews and see what they say.

I agree with you
Will keep you posted thanks

We weren’t able to book an appointment (full) but I managed to track him down and sent him a direct msg and he replied and told us t bring him without an appointment tonight
We’re so grateful and hopeful
His black finger actually dried out and fell off but now the one next to it is turning black as well
Let’s hope he helps him
Will keep you posted

So glad you are taking him in, this has to be very painful for him, do not be surprised or feel that they are trying to take advantage of you if they suggest some degree of amputation, you cannot just let it continue like this, many birds are able to live just fine with a partial amputation.

I have removed your post from public view as the images may too disturbing for some to view, the moderators and you can still view the thread. I am so sorry that your bird is in this situation, it must be very painful for him. Have you considered euthanasia, I know it is a difficult decision to make and one I have had to make many times myself but when an animal is suffering it can be the most humane decision, did you discuss it at all with the vet?

Please update.
Your budgie is in pain and is suffering at this time.

As difficult as it is, the best decision you could make would be to allow the vet to help him move on in his journey to the Rainbow Bridge.

I certainly know how hard it is -- I've had to let many of my beloved pets go over the years.
However, I truly believe it is the greatest act of selfless love one can give.
When a pet has reached the point where it is in constant pain and the quality of life is never going to improve, it is cruel to allow it to continue to suffer.
