There is no vet open right now, and won't be open until 8am tomorrow. It looks like an oviductal prolapse. We just need to know what to do to keep her alive until we can get to a vet tomorrow.

She's never laid, but there an egg I can see. I've got glycerin that's filled to 50%. We don't have anything else, and literally nothing is open because of hurricane Ian.

How often should I be wetting it?

Thank you Cody, and Impeccable! We actually went to just answers and spoke to a vet there who basically just said to get her to a vet. We're going to get to a vet this morning ASAP. We'll keep you posted.

So we took her to a specialist, and they were able to remove the egg, and fix the prolapse. We are in no way out of the woods yet, but it's a start. We need all the prayers we can get right now. Vet said there another egg on deck, so we could be here again.

She made it through the night, and got all her meds this morning. She gets 2 antibiotics, a pain killer, and calcium. The vet did indeed give her a lupron shot among many other shots. She got the lupron, painkillers, multivitamin, and antibiotic. That's all while she was there so she got a lot of stuff done. They had to sedate her but luckily did not put her under anesthesia, so that was a lucky break for us. We sat in the car the whole time because we weren't allowed to go in with her, so we sat in the car for over an hour panicking. She has another egg present which was found after an ultrasound. So that is a possibility of her re prolapsing, so continued prayers and thoughts are very much appreciated. Thank you everyone for your support and prayers during this time, we need all we can get!

Does anyone know if lupron slows egg laying? The reason I ask is because the vet called today to ask if Lily passed the egg yet and she hasn't. But she isn't straining or acting off at all. I just want to know if I should be worried that she hasn't passed the egg on the 2nd day after her shot.

Yeah that is a concern for us, but she's not straining or acting like there's an egg coming, and she doesn't look it feel eggnant. No she didn't get stitched.

UPDATE:
So we took her back to the vet, and vet said she looked so much better, and that is very possible that she just re absorbed the egg. Unfortunately we're not quite out of the woods yet. She's acting...off. She's tired, which could be the meds, but might not be. And her peeps sound off too. Like just not as loud. We still need your prayers and positive vibes sent her way, as she's just not up to what she was. Any advice would be appreciated too.

She is still on her 2 antibiotics, and tonight is the last dose for her pain/anti inflammatory. The antibiotics have tiredness as a side effect so that's why we were curious.

Lily is doing a bit better today. She must've gotten a good night's sleep, because she woke up bouncing off the walls! She gets all her favorite fruits and veggies early now and she loves that. Come to find out she loves pineapple! She's still not peeping quite like she used to, like almost not at all, but I heard her this morning clear into the kitchen when I was cutting her stuff.

She's still quiet though, and we still need the heating pads on her. So we're still worried for her.
