Please help me determine Furby's gender

676 Views 9 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Furby&Kirby<3
Hello I just joined TalkBudgies 🐦I was wondering If anyone could help me with the gender of my budgies Furby (blue) and Kirby (green). I really think that Kirby may be a boy(plz tell me if I'm wrong)but I'm not so sure about Furby. I want to know if I need to take precautions to discourage breeding. They are being trained and know when to return to their cage after free time on their own but are skittish about my hands so they're will only get on my arm or a stick im holding for now. I notice Kirby learns faster and sets the example for Furby. (Caught him yawning on the last pic)

Hello and welcome to the forums,

Your budgies are adorable! They appear to both be boys, however the grey's cere looks a bit dry in the last photo, is this the case? The photos are a bit blurry.

It's fortunate you have two males as you do not have to worry about unwanted breeding.

We look forward to seeing more of them around here!

Meanwhile, you've come to a great place to learn even more about the best of budgie care practices. Please be sure to read through the forums' many budgie articles and "stickies" to ensure you're up to date on everything. If you have any questions after doing so, please be sure to ask as we'd love to help!

Hope to see you around 👋

Here is a clearer picture of them, do they look dry? Could it be because colder weather is just getting started on my side?

It is a little bit dry but not a reason for major concern, however it usually gets dry in winter so perhaps having a warm-mist humidifier would help.

Your little guys are so cute :D
